What is FCDID ID?

The FCDID ID

FCDID.ID is the official Digital ID technology provider of Montserrat and the world's first digital Web3 identity platform developed to support the application and issuance of Montserrat ID.

FCDID Platform

FCDID provides accessible Digital Residency for all individuals around the world. The Digital Residency Program grants IDs in two forms through our Sovereign Partner-Montserrat.

(1) as a Montserrat ID card shipped to your address, it is a Government-issued ID that is legally recognized identification and can be used for any ID requirement.

(2) as non-fungible token identity on-chain. The FC DID is a digitalized legal ID that enables individuals to self-control their identification settings by enabling them to choose various levels of identification disclosure.

Once your DIDs are generated, you will have the option to turn on and off the "Enable KYC" option on your account. If the option is on and a level of disclosure has been selected, you hereby authorize the FCDID platform to share your KYC documents acquired throughout your application process with third parties which have passed FCDID checks.

FCDID Sovereign Partner - Montserrat

In December 2021, the Government of Montserrat (encompassing the House of Delegates, the Senate, and the office of President <name >) passed the Digital Residency Act and signed a contract to allow FCDID to provide digital residency for Montserrat exclusively.

Our mission is to usher in a Global and borderless world and support the new generation of Global digital existence. We believe that having a Digital Identity allows people to have Economic freedom and do business regardless of geographic boundaries. To help advance this mission, we provide the future services described below; note that most of the services are not yet available.

Utility of FCDID

I. Utility Overview

The FCDID ID brings together three transformative innovations:

  • on-chain legal ID

  • digital residency

  • geography-agnostic governance

FCDID leverages the versatility of all three innovations, which will be developed via our roadmap.

II. Utility of On-Chain Legal ID

Bringing legal identity directly on chain unlocks a multitude of applications, such as:

  • Identification / background checks

  • DAO governance (one person one vote)

  • Purchasing insurance plans

  • Credit-based loans

  • Real-world democratic voting

  • Age verification

  • Opening banking or brokerage accounts

  • Services requiring legal identification

  • Services requiring KYC

III. Digital Residency Roadmap

The following solutions are planned for digital residents and will be introduced step by step:

  • Montserrat address with a US zip code (letters only, no package shipments)

  • Utility - Adopt a Meter Program (connected to your Montserrat address)

  • Digital signature/certificate

  • Get a Montserrat phone number

  • Registering e-Corporations (C-corp/LLC/DAO/Trust/etc.)

  • Digital banking

  • Purchase insurance

  • Digital notarization and apostille

  • Internet services, purchasing a private network (VPN) in Montserrat

With digital residency, individuals from around the world have the opportunity to access digital government services, and the solutions available will expand over time as the program grows.

IV. Utility of Geography-Agnostic Governance

The power of geography-agnostic governance allows global services to overcome the limitations of location-dependent requirements, which is further enabled by the interconnectivity of the digital world.

Geography-agnostic governance facilitates a plethora of future opportunities, including:

  • Global registries for intellectual property

  • Remote corporate formation and operation

  • Access to securely sign documents

  • Marketplace for governance

V. 0% Tax Benefit for Digital Residents

Under the Montserrat Digital Residency Program, digital residents benefit from a 0% tax rate on income earned outside of Montserrat. This exemption is exclusive to non-Montserratan income, relieving digital residents from income, capital gains, and other applicable taxes typically imposed by Montserratan tax laws on residents. Digital residents, however, are responsible for ensuring compliance with tax obligations in their country of citizenship or primary residence, as Montserrat's 0% tax rate does not substitute for such external obligations.

*By purchasing the Montserrat ID card, you agree to all the terms periodically updated on Docs. We reserve the right to modify these benefits as some services may not be directly provided by us. These are envisioned and subject to government final legislation, approval, and FCDID availability.

If you request a change of shipping address to a different destination country after the ID has been shipped to the initial address, or if you request a reprint and re-shipment of your ID for any valid reason, you acknowledge and agree that:

  • A reprint and re-shipping fee of USD 49 will apply.

  • Such fee is strictly non-refundable under any circumstances.

The Digital Residency ID offers a multi-year membership. Once the physical ID expires, it can be renewed like any other Government-issued ID. Upon renewal, you agree to be assessed for updated KYC/AML, criminal background and sanctions check, and any inaccuracies. The updated KYC/AML, criminal background, and sanctions check will be done ANNUALLY, and if the results failed, we have the right not to give compensation for the remaining years of subscription.

You agreed that Montserrat has the authority to revoke your digital residency status once screening fails for the above reasons.

Refund Terms

Once payment has been made, it is IMPORTANT to note that all orders are final and NONREFUNDABLE, see the reasons below:

  • Rejection of application has been made due to not passing the Screening stage, either first-time application or renewal, which includes a review for KYC/AML, a criminal background, and sanctions check.

  • Incomplete application such as KYC Verification/Personal Information after 30 days of submission.

  • Processing delay due to the processing team did not receive any response for additional information needed to move forward to the next stage.

  • The package was not received due to an incorrect shipping address and a change of shipping address to a different destination country, and the member disagreed to pay the additional $49 shipping handling.

  • Shipping delays due to, but are not limited to, travel restrictions, local delivery courier problems, and long waits due to customs inspection.

  • Delivery was not received, and the local delivery service has confirmed that it’s the recipient's fault.

If a refund is required and requested due to the loss of a package during the shipment, you agree to contact us at chat@fcchain.io for possible resolutions. We reserve the right to reject your refund request at our final discretion.
